OPOA Board of Directors

Barry has been with the Department for ten years as a graduate of the 147th Oakland Police Academy. He has served on the Board of Directors for five years, and this is his second year as the OPOA’s Vice President. Before holding the office of Vice President, Barry severed as OPOA Secretary. Barry has sat on the association’s contract negotiation and arbitration team continuously since March 2006. Barry is chairman of IBT, the association’s trust overseeing many member and retiree benefits. Barry also represents the association on the City’s Deferred Compensation Committee, managing the city’s 457 investment plan. Barry’s goal at OPOA is to increase participation by the membership in our association, because by standing together we will succeed. At OPD Barry is assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division.
